UNTIL Egypt participated in the press conference announcing the launch of argrimisr.com, an online platform developed by “e-finance”, a national company operating the Egyptian government financial network, to scale the agriculture industry and trade.
Mr. Aaloak Jaswal, UNTIL Egypt Lab Manager addressed the audience about the importance of developing technology tools that advance the sustainable development goals. He affirmed the nation and lab’s concentration on the agriculture sector as a key priority for development.
The Agrimisr platform is developed in line with the Egypt’s strategy for digital transformation and financial inclusion by utilizing the latest technology to automate the financial services throughout various stages of the agricultural trade cycle. The platform offers non-financial and government services, including an online catalog of all inputs and requirements of production and support services, as well as agricultural products to facilitate online direct sales and purchases.
UNTIL Egypt and “e-finance” are currently collaborating to create an electronic solution to link farmers with vet experts to enhance animal health management, information sharing, and foster engagement. This solution will also be made available on the platform, allowing different stakeholders to benefit from such needed service.
