Global need for rehabilitation is increasing. New solutions and innovations are urgently needed to address inequalities and increase access to rehabilitation services including assistive technology. This global challenge provides business and partnership opportunities also for health, rehabilitation and technology companies.
United Nations Technology Innovation Labs (UNTIL) Finland will speak at the JAMK University of Applied Sciences webinar about innovation and opportunities for social impact through development and scaling up digital public goods especially in low- and middle-income countries. The online event will take place on 16 June 2020, 9:00 - 11:00 EEST.
Mr. Ahmed El Saeed, UNTIL Health Team Lead, will give an overview of available financing and partnership opportunities for businesses, together with Business Finland Developing Markets Platform and Finnpartnership.
JAMK University of Applied Sciences is developing a research driven co-innovation ecosystem to learn how to best use technology and market-based models to radically increase access to rehabilitation globally and is seeking partnership opportunity with UNTIL Finland to facilitate this in low- and middle-income countries.
"The advances of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including those brought on by a combination of computing power, robotics, big data and artificial intelligence, are generating revolutions in health care, transport and manufacturing.
I am convinced that these new capacities can help us to lift millions of people out of poverty, achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and enable developing countries to leap‑frog into a better future."
